Dispatch Fundamentals of Supervision – The objectives of this 8 hour course are to enhance the fundamental skills required of civilian supervisors. The course will cover scheduling, staffing, the discipline process, evaluations and new employee training and mentoring.

Dispatcher Role in Mass Casualty Incidents – The goal of this 8 hour course is to enhance the abilities of the Public Safety Dispatcher when handling a mass casualty incident by providing an overview of such incidents and role of dispatchers in lessons learned, emotional fallout, and resources management.

Dispatcher Active Shooter Situations – This 8 hour course is for dispatchers of all experience levels. It guides them through an active shooter incident. The class begins as the first call comes into the communications center and takes students through the process of gathering critical information, making the initial dispatch, maintaining officer and citizen safety, as well as, the impact on the center. This course is designed to help prepare dispatchers for this type of chaotic event.

Dispatcher Crisis Negotiations – This 8 hour course will provide an understanding of hostage negotiations principles, knowledge of the various roles, responsibilities and challenges a dispatcher may face in such a situation. Critical incidents are also discussed including hostage situations, barricaded subjects, suicidal subjects, and swatting.

Dispatcher Bullying – This 8 hour course is designed to increase awareness of bullying in the dispatch workplace. Students will use critical thinking skills and learning activities to assess bullying behaviors. The goal of this course is to provide the tools for Dispatchers, Trainers, Supervisors, and Managers to be able to manage bullying situations in the workplace.
