Course Description

This course presents new managers with the information and skills they need to develop to succeed as a middle-manager. The promotion to Lieutenant dramatically changes a person’s view of their department, and their level of responsibility and accountability. Through this course, the student will explore these changes in relationships, perspective, and the new skills demanded of them.

Note: POST does not accept students into the Management Course who are employed by a government agency that does not have a law enforcement function, such as public defenders office, public works department, human resources department, etc. This course is specifically designed for law enforcement personnel at the management level.
