This course is designed to provide investigators with tools and skills on the basics of tire mark identification and analysis. Course content will include the following: identification of the various types of tire marks, documentation and measurements, terms and definitions relating to tire mark investigation, case preparation and courtroom testimony, determination of coefficient of friction and drag factor, and speed estimates using various equations.
