Level II Intermediate Core Course (40-hours)

This course is designed to offer experienced teachers (with previous instructional skills training) new and enhanced understandings related to the active learner-focused classroom, facilitation skills, presentation skills, critical thinking skills, outcome-based learning, problem-based learning and assessment of learning.  This course also serves as Level 2 of Instructor Development Institute (IDI) Program.

This course is open to all local government personnel looking to increase their instructor skills, both in front of an audience and in the development of training materials.

The following prerequisite has been established as a minimum baseline for students attending this course:

  1. Successfully have completed the Basic Instructor Course (AICC), ICI Instructor (ICII) or an equivalency

Special Note regarding Tuition for IDI Classes: POST has suspended funding to IDI courses effective February 1, 2018. GTA/RTC will continue to present the course, but will charge a tuition to cover the cost of the course. Effective February 1, 2018, the tuition for this course is $550.00 per student. You can pay the tuition fee by either sending or bringing a check to class or call this office with a credit card number.
