Advanced Geographic Profiling Analysis

This course builds on the basic Geographic Profiling Analysis course. The class consists of a series of computer-lab based exercises that illustrate how to use Geographic Profiling Analysis techniques in the criminal investigation of property crime. The course covers crime inputting, scenario development, investigative strategies, and exposure to mapping software.

  • Apply Rigel Analyst Geographic Profiling System for case analysis
  • Import crime and suspect data from external databases
  • Create geoprofiles showing peak areas of the most probable suspect base
  • Create and use scenarios
  • Analyze and interpret geoprofile findings
  • Prioritize suspects
  • Develop investigative strategies
  • Prepare and write complete geographic profile analyst reports

All attendees must have successfully completed Geographic Profiling Analysis I.

POST Reimbursement Plan IV: Tuition is $625. Travel and per diem reimbursement are available via Training Reimbursement Request (TRR).

Non-POST Reimbursable agencies: Tuition is $625. There is no reimbursement for travel and per diem.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received more than ten (10) business days prior to the start of the class will not be charged. If payment has already been made, it will be refunded. Cancellations received ten (10) or less business days before the start of the class will be charged at full price. This late cancellation charge compensates RTC for the non-refundable costs incurred prior to the start date of the course.
No Shows: A No Show on the day of the class will result in a full charge for the class.
